Dante is a Golden/Labrador Retriever cross, and was my first puppy to raise for Canine Companions for Independence. He was born to Wyla II and Zorba II on December 19, 2011. He gave me a run for my money, and taught me way more than I ever taught him. After eighteen months as a puppy in training, he trotted into Canine Companions' Southeast Regional Training Center without a backwards glance to enter professional training. After three months in Advanced Training, Dante decided Service Dogdom was not for him, and came home to fill his place as my very first, very own dog on November 25, 2013. He is enjoying life as a spoiled rotten career changed pet, and co-puppy raiser.
